With the holidays approaching, this quick and easy recipe is a great snack or dessert to bring to family gatherings!

2 c. nuts (pecans, almonds or walnuts)
1/2 c. Grade B maple syrup or raw honey
1 tsp. Cinnamon
sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper (optional)
sea salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste (optional)

1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss until nuts are completely coated.
2. Spread nuts on a cookie sheet in a single layer and toast at 300 degrees, tossing occasionally, until fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
3. Serve on top of a salad or eat by themselves.
