Summer is the perfect time for burgers–but forget conventional meat laden with hormones and antibiotics. Dr. Josh Axe’s guest for this episode of Transform Your Kitchen is Jonathan Martin, personal trainer and owner of FitnessLink ( He walks you through a delicious Lamb Sliders recipe perfect for a summer dinner.

1 lb. organic, grass-fed ground lamb
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. cumin
1 red onion, diced
1 bulb fennel, diced
1 serrano pepper, chopped (optional)

For Sliders:
Place ground lamb in bowl and season with spices.
Form seasoned ground lamb into patties.
Cook sliders on medium/high heat for 8 min.
Flip sliders and continue to cook additional 5-8 min.
Sprinkle optional serrano pepper to sliders, while cooking, if desired.
For Topping:
Roast diced red onion and fennel in glass dish and roast in oven for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Placed cooked sliders on plate, topped with roasted vegetables, serve with optional side salad, and enjoy!
